JOHNSON CITY, TN (October 11, 2022) – Comedian Nate Bargatze announced today 26 dates for his 2023 THE BE FUNNY TOUR that will include a stop at the Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City, Tn. on Friday, April 14, 2023. Tickets will go on sale Friday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. with artist presale beginning Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. The new tour will include all new material with more dates to be announced soon. For more information and tickets, visit natebargatze.com.
Hailing from Old Hickory, Tennessee, stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze has been recognized this year as “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up,” by The Atlantic Magazine and a “Rising Star,” by CBS Morning. The 2021 Grammy nominated comedian and podcaster Nate Bargatze is selling out shows across the world.
Bargatze’s comedy is both clean and relatable, which is evident in his ten appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon following four appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Both of Nate’s one-hour Netflix specials, The Tennessee Kid (2019) and The Greatest Average American (2021) premiered globally with rave reviews.
In July 2020, the comedian teamed up with All Things Comedy to release his new podcast, Nateland. The world is a crazy place and there's plenty of podcasts out there tackling the tough issues. However, Nateland tackles the meaningless issues that we face day to day to give listeners a much-needed mental break from fighting the good fight. New episodes release Wednesdays, with video available on Nate’s YouTube channel and audio available everywhere you get podcasts.

REO Speedwagon
Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon’s unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. Platinum albums and radio staples soon followed, setting the stage for the release of the band’s explosive Hi Infidelity in 1980, which contained the massive hit singles “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run.” That landmark album spent 15 weeks in the No. 1 slot and has since earned the RIAA’s coveted 10X Diamond Award for surpassing sales of 10 million units in the United States. Today, REO Speedwagon has sold more than 40 million albums around the globe, and Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall (bass), Neal Doughty (keyboards), Dave Amato (guitar), and Bryan Hitt (drums) are still electrifying audiences worldwide in concert with hits and fan-favorites such as “In Your Letter,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Time For Me To Fly,” “Roll With The Changes,” the aforementioned “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run,” and many, many more.

HOMETOWN THROWDOWN TRIPLE T 25th ANNIVERSARY BULL RIDING COMING TO FREEDOM HALL
The 25th Anniversary Hometown Throwdown is set to take place August 13 & 14 at Freedom Hall in Johnson City. Sanctioned by the Bull Riders & Outlaws Association, this special bull riding event is presented by the Triple T Bucking Bulls, a local stock contractor from East Tennessee that has supplied bulls at rodeos for the last 25 years. Triple T promotes bull riding, beginning at early ages, with their Mini Bulls series. Their goal is to teach children the sport of bull riding by demonstrating the proper techniques to safely build their bull riding careers. Brothers, Brian and Matthew Turnmire are focused on providing family fun and quality entertainment throughout the southeast states.
During this event, top cowboys from around the region will be battling it out for over $8,000 in prize money. Locally, this will be the biggest bull riding event of the year. In addition to bull riding, entertainment during the rodeo will be provided by Dave “Showtime” Meyer. Meyer is a Comedy Act Showcase Champion who began his journey with rodeos in Annville, Pennsylvania. Meyer’s hilarious characters include Jacob the Amish man and the Horse Screamer, who comedically mocks barrel racers.
The night is full of entertainment, each night beginning with a pre-rodeo concert. Friday, August 13, Morgan’s Mill will provide entertainment. The band members met at East Tennessee State University while studying Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country music. Morgan’s Mill released their second EP, “Wyoming”, continuing to gain popularity and recognition in the country-music industry.
On Saturday, August 14th, Nick Jamerson and Kris Bentley, better known as Sundy Best, will be performing. The Kentucky native’s music is a blend of Country, Appalachian Folk, Bluegrass, Rock, Soul, and R&B. Their latest album, “Bring Up the Sun”, reached number 11 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Concerts begin each night at 6:45 P.M.
Presented by Wiseman’s Clothing & Shoes, each night will be a guaranteed source of entertainment for families of all ages. Bull riding begins at 8:00 P.M. each night, and on Friday night, children will receive free bandanas.
Reserved seat tickets are $35.00 for adults and children. General admission tickets are $25.00 for adults, $17.50 for children ages 6-12 years old and free for children 5 & under.

Foreigner
With ten multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million. Responsible for some of rock and roll’s most enduring anthems including “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Say You Will,” “Dirty White Boy,” “Long, Long Way From Home” and the worldwide #1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is,” FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Streams of FOREIGNER’s hits are approaching 10 million per week.
Founded in 1976, FOREIGNER‘s debut album produced the hits “Feels Like The First Time,” “Cold As Ice” and “Long, Long Way From Home.” The album Double Vision followed, as did a string of hits including “Urgent,” “Juke Box Hero” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You.” Those songs helped give FOREIGNER‘s next album, 4, its impressive run at #1 on the Billboard chart. At the zenith of 80’s sound, FOREIGNER‘s fifth album, Agent Provocateur, gave the world the incredible #1 global hit,” I Want To Know What Love Is.” This musical milestone followed the record-breaking song “Waiting For A Girl Like You.”
