Paving project to cause lane closures on West Oakland Avenue

Paving and milling by the City of Johnson City’s Public Works Department cause lane closures on West Oakland Avenue between North Roan Street and State of Franklin Road beginning tomorrow (Wednesday, April 12) from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Only one lane will be closed at a time.

Paving and milling will continue on Thursday, April 13 from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday, April 17 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. If needed, work may extend to Tuesday, April 18 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. or until complete.

Drivers who cannot avoid the area should expect delays, use caution in the construction zone, and observe posted speed limits for their safety and the safety of workers.
