City Commission
The City Commission is comprised of five (5) leaders elected by the citizens of the City of Johnson City, Tennessee. Commissioners are elected to a four (4) year overlapping terms. The elections are held every two (2) years, rotating two (2) Commissioners one election cycle and three (3) Commissioners the next election cycle.
The City Commission conducts regularly scheduled business meetings every first & third Thursday evenings of each month, in the Commission Chambers, at the City Municipal & Safety Building, located at 601 East Main Street, starting at 6:00 pm.
