Over our history, Parks and Recreation has expanded services and programs to serve Johnson City's growing population. DIVE - RIDE - STRIDE
5th Annual Kids Triathlon

Registration is now open for Memorial Park Community Center’s fifth annual Kids Triathlon, set for Saturday, Aug. 19th. The race is open to ages 6-12.

Ages 6-8 - Swim 50 meters, bike 1 mile, run .5 mile
Ages 9-10 - Swim 100 meters, bike 1.5 miles, run 1 miles
Ages 11-12 - Swim 150 meters, bike 2 miles, run 1.5 miles

Participants are responsible for bringing their own bikes, helmets, and goggles and must arrive by 8 a.m. to have bikes in the transition area and to check-in. Race begins at 9 a.m.

Where: Start at Legion Street Pool, 111 Legion St., bike on Tweetsie Trail, and end at Memorial Park Community Center, 510 Bert St.

Fees and Registration: $30 through Friday, Aug. 11. Late registration (Aug. 12-18) will be $40. There will be no registration day of race. Early registrants are guaranteed a T-shirt and medal. Register online at www.myjcparks.org (credit card only) or in person at MPCC (cash or check only). Monday through Friday (7 a.m. – 9 p.m.) or Saturday (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

Packet Pick Up: 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18 at Memorial Park Community Center. There will be no pick up day of race.
