May Community Roundtable to focus on local drug trends

This month’s Community Roundtable on May 9 will feature a presentation on local drug trends by First Judicial District Drug Task Force Director Matt Keller. Attendees can expect to gain basic drug awareness like recognizing common local drugs, signs of prescription and illegal drug abuse, and the impact of drug abuse on the community. Director Keller will answer questions at the conclusion of the presentation.

The Community Roundtable strives to foster a positive relationship between the Johnson City Police Department and the citizens it serves. Meetings take place the second Thursday of each month through November at 11:30 a.m. at the Langston Centre, 315 Elm St.

The Community Roundtable is not an appointed board, nor is there formal membership. All community members are welcome to join the monthly meetings.
