Parks and Recreation to offer bluebell wildflower hikes

Winged Deer Park contains the largest collection of naturalized bluebell flowers in Northeast Tennessee. In bloom for approximately 10 days, the best time to see this stunning cobalt display is early spring.

Join Parks and Recreation for an all ages, free tour of these spectacular Virginia Bluebells in bloom. Staff will guide you through the flowers during a slow-paced tour along a wooded path in one of Johnson City’s most beautiful parks.

Dates and times for walking tours are as follows:

  • Saturday, March 23, 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Monday, March 25, 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 26, 10-11:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, March 27, 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 28, 10-11:30 a.m.
  • Friday, March 29, 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 30, 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Monday, April 1, 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 2, 10-11:30 a.m.
