East Main Street to close for road maintenance

Johnson City Water and Sewer Services will close East Main Street at South Roan Street to just past the eastbound I-26 on ramp beginning Thursday, Feb. 1 at 11 p.m. The complete closure of East Main Street will remain in place until Friday, Feb. 2 at 6 a.m., when one lane will reopen to traffic. All lanes will reopen at noon Friday, Feb. 2 or once all necessary work is completed.

Motorists are asked to observe all posted signage and to avoid the construction area.

Drivers who cannot avoid the area should expect delays, use caution in the construction zone, and observe posted speed limits for their safety and the safety of workers.
