Residents are reminded of City Thanksgiving schedules

Johnson City residents are reminded that City offices will be closed on Nov. 23 and Nov. 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. All City offices/services will resume normal operations on Monday, Nov. 27.

Solid Waste Services: Garbage and recycling service are suspended for just two days each year – Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Customers whose regular collection day falls on Thursday should plan to have garbage and recycling picked up on Nov. 25, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Solid waste will be collected as scheduled on Friday, Nov. 24.

Transit: All services (including Fixed Route, Paratransit, Bucshot and Job Access) will close Thursday, Nov. 23 through Saturday, Nov. 25. The Transit System will resume normal hours of operation on Monday, Nov. 27

Water and Sewer Services: For emergencies when City offices are closed, residents should call 423.461.1643.

Parks and Recreation: The Memorial Park Community Center and Langston Centre will be closed through Sunday, Nov. 26. Carver Recreation Center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24.
