Coalition for Kids director to present at Community Roundtable

Members of the community are invited to join representatives from the Johnson City Police Department and Coalition for Kids for a Community Roundtable meeting on Thursday, Nov. 9. The meeting will be held at the Langston Centre, 315 Elm St., at 11:30 a.m.

Executive Director Randy Hensley will discuss how Coalition for Kids provides children with resources in a nurturing and faith-based environment that builds moral, social, and spiritual skills important for a productive adulthood.

The Community Roundtable is not an appointed board, nor is there formal membership. Meetings occur on the second Thursday of each month but alternate between mid-day and evening meeting times as well as locations. In odd number months (January, March, May, July, September, and November) meetings are held at the Langston Centre, 315 Elm St., at 11:30 a.m. In even number months (February, April, June, August, and October) meetings are held in the Commission Chambers at the Municipal and Safety Building, 601 E. Main St., at 6 p.m. No meeting will be held in December.
