Infrastructure work to close portion of Smith Street Wednesday

Smith Street between East Fairview Avenue and Woodlyn Road will be closed Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. as contractors complete work related to the Lower Brush Creek Interceptor Sewer Project.

Emergency traffic will not be able to pass. Flaggers and signage will be in place to direct traffic around the construction zone. The recommended detour for all traffic is Dalewood Drive. 

Drivers who cannot avoid the area should expect delays, use caution in the construction zone, and observe posted speed limits for their safety and the safety of workers.
