Candy Land Christmas trees on sale this Friday at 9 a.m.

The 2023 Candy Land Christmas trees will go on sale beginning Friday, Aug. 18 at 9 a.m. Candy Land Christmas features over 150 natural trees decorated by area businesses, residents, and non-profit organizations. The holiday trees spanning two downtown parks will transform King Commons to Cupcake Commons and Founders Park to the Gumdrop Forest.

Tree decorating will be Tuesday, Nov. 21 to Saturday, Nov. 25. Trees must be decorated by 5 p.m. on Nov. 25. This year’s event is scheduled to kick-off with a Grand Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 6:30 p.m. Trees will be on display until Jan. 7.

“Thousands of residents and visitors walk through Candy Land every year, so purchasing a tree is a great way to promote your business or organization,” says Special Events Manager Lindsey Jones.

The cost for each tree is $200. There are 30 trees reserved for non-profit organizations that cost $150 each. All trees are offered on a first come, first served basis.

“Each year, I am beyond impressed with the creativity from our community,” said Jones. “Giving the visitors an opportunity to vote for their favorite tree is fun way to support the organizations that go above and beyond with decorations.”

Voting begins Nov. 25 and will end on Dec. 8. The first place winner this year will win a free tree for the 2024 Candy Land Christmas.
