Public Works to begin sidewalk improvements on South Roan Tuesday

The Johnson City Public Works Department will be replacing sidewalk and curb in various locations on South Roan Street between West State of Franklin and East Highland roads beginning Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 7 a.m. The project is expected to be complete by Aug. 11 at 4 p.m.

Construction will cause intermittent lane closures. Flaggers will be present to instruct motorists. Some sidewalk areas will be impassable.

Motorists should expect delays, use caution in the construction zone, and observe posted speed limits for their safety and the safety of workers.
