August Community Roundtable to feature Homeless Education Program for students

Members of the community are invited to join representatives from the Johnson City Police Department and Johnson City Schools for a Community Roundtable meeting on Thursday, Aug. 10. Sydnee DeBusk and Amber Keller will talk about the Johnson City Schools Homeless Education Program and support services for students experiencing homelessness.

The meeting will be held at the Langston Centre, 315 Elm St., at 11:30 a.m.

Normally, in even months (February, April, June, August, and October) meetings are held at 6 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Municipal and Safety Building, 601 E. Main St. This month’s (August) meeting is being held in a different location and at a different time to accommodate schedules.

The Community Roundtable is not an appointed board, nor is there formal membership. All community members are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.
