Bill Bennett Road waterline extension to close one lane of traffic next week

A Water and Sewer Services project will require a lane closure at the intersection of Cherokee and Bill Bennett roads. This construction is part of the 2022 Washington County Water Line Extensions Project.

The work will begin Monday, July 31. The lane closure will be in place between 8 a.m.-6 p.m. through Wednesday, Aug. 2 while crews complete the necessary work. A flagger will be present to direct traffic during construction hours. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.

Drivers who cannot avoid the area should expect delays, use caution in the construction zone, and observe posted speed limits for their safety and the safety of workers.
