Flood damage causes Sinking Creek Road closure

Sinking Creek Road will be closed to through traffic from Lone Oak to David Miller roads beginning July 14 due to bridge damage caused by flooding. Emergency traffic will not be able to pass.

Property owners with driveways connecting to Sinking Creek Road southwest of David Miller Road will be granted access. The entrance to Sinking Creek Road from Lone Oak Road will be closed to all traffic.

All drivers are encouraged to avoid this area when possible. Detours and signage will be in place to direct motorists. The closure and related detours will remain in place until the work is completed.
