July Community Roundtable focuses on resources for non-violent offenders

Members of the community are invited to join representatives from the Johnson City Police Department and Shannon Townsend with the Tennessee Department of Correction Day Reporting Center for a Community Roundtable meeting on Thursday, July 13.

Townsend will discuss the one-year, three-phase program that assists non-violent offenders with resources to keep them out of the prison system and working toward productivity in their community.

The meeting will be held at the Langston Centre, 315 Elm St., at 11:30 a.m.

The Community Roundtable is not an appointed board, nor is there formal membership. All community members are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.
