Parks and Rec facilities to be closed for Independence Day Fireworks Celebration

As the City prepares for the 36th Annual Independence Day Fireworks Celebration sponsored by PepsiCo Beverages North America of Johnson City on Monday, July 3, the following locations will be closed for event setup. All closures will remain in place until noon Wednesday, July 5 for cleanup. 

1. Walking track at Kermit Tipton Stadium will be closed starting Monday, July 3. No one will be allowed in the stadium to view fireworks. 
2. Broyles and Seaver ballfields will be closed to the public, including practices, starting Friday, June 30 at 8 a.m. 
3. The west side of Kermit Tipton Stadium (Liberty Bell Boulevard entrance) will be closed to all foot traffic starting Friday, June 30 at 8 a.m.
