Johnson City Public Art to participate in GivingTuesday Campaign

Johnson City Public Art (JCPA) will participate in this year’s GivingTuesday campaign, a global movement celebrating a day that encourages people to make a positive impact through the act of giving. The official date for GivingTuesday is Nov. 29 but donations can be made on any day through JCPA’s online portal or via mailed check. More information about donation options is available at https://johnson-city-public-art.square.site/.

Many JCPA projects rely on private donations for continued funding. Larger sculpture and mural projects are particularly dependent on private funding, and both create a strong visual impact that contributes to the City’s beautification efforts.

“We want people to know that if they like what they see, giving to JCPA is a way to get more murals, sculpture, and art events throughout our community,” said JCPA member Caitlin Linkous. “Public art benefits everyone who lives and works here.”

Donations of any size are greatly appreciated, and all donations help to bring more public art projects to Johnson City. By making art accessible to the public in prominent areas around the city, JCPA works to bring cultural, social, and economic value to the community.
