Stormwater User Fees are fees assessed to every City of Johnson City property within city limits for the purposes of maintaining and upgrading the city’s storm sewer network, as well paying for capital improvement projects and helping defray the costs of complying with State and Federal mandates.
The fees show up under the prefix “ST” on water bills, and differ depending on whether the water account is attached to a single-family home, multi-family home, or nonresidential property.
For Single-Family and Nonresidential properties, the amount of impervious area, (or area not permeable by rainfall) determines the amount of the fee. This amount is determined by city staff using aerial photos, and is updated on a rotating basis.To find your fee, please consult the table below:
