Meet JCPD School Resource Officers at the July Community Roundtable

In a little over one month, students of Johnson City Schools will head back to the classroom. The Johnson City Police Department (JCPD) wants the public to know how it is working to keep students, teachers, and staff safe. At this month’s Community Roundtable on July 11, the community will hear from JCPD School Resource Officers (SROs).

Every school in the Johnson City district is assigned an SRO. Some of them will join the Roundtable to discuss their training, daily duties, and other activities in which they are involved within Johnson City Schools.

The Community Roundtable strives to foster a positive relationship between the Johnson City Police Department and the citizens it serves. Meetings take place the second Thursday of each month through November at 11:30 a.m. at the Langston Centre, 315 Elm St.

The Community Roundtable is not an appointed board, nor is there formal membership. All community members are welcome to join the monthly meetings.
