Volunteer needed for JC Regional Planning Commission

The Johnson City Board of Commissioners will consider one appointment to the Johnson City Regional Planning Commission. The appointment is for a three-year term and requires residency outside the Johnson City corporate limit but inside the regional planning jurisdiction. A map of the planning region boundary can be found at http://bit.ly/JCPlanningRegion.

The Planning Commission meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. and is responsible for administering the City’s Subdivision Regulations and for advising the City Commission on matters of long-range development policy, zoning and annexation.

Any citizen interested in serving may submit an application online at www.johnsoncitytn.org/boards. Applications will be accepted through Monday, Sept. 28.
