The City of Johnson City will hold a second public hearing on the West Walnut Street preliminary design on Thursday, Feb. 13 in the City Commission Chambers at the Municipal and Safety Building, 601 E. Main St. The public hearing will begin at 6 p.m. with a brief overview of the project, including responses to citizen concerns raised at the first public hearing. A primary focus of the discussion will be on minimizing the impact of the anticipated increase in traffic volume associated with redevelopment to the adjoining neighborhood. City staff and LDA Engineering will be available to receive comments and answer questions until 8:30 p.m.
