Community Roundtable to meet next week in Commission Chambers

Community Roundtable, a monthly meeting between police and community members, will be held Thursday, April 13 held in the Commission Chambers at the Municipal and Safety Building, 601 E. Main St., from 6-7:45 p.m. Interim Johnson City Police Chief Billy Church and Interim Major Scott Jenkins will meet with attendees.

The Community Roundtable strives to foster a positive relationship between the Johnson City Police Department and the citizens it serves. The Community Roundtable is not an appointed board, nor is there formal membership. All community members are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.

Meetings occur on the second Thursday of each month in 2023 but alternate between mid-day and evening meeting times as well as locations. In odd number months (January, March, May, July, September, and November) meetings are held at the Langston Centre, 315 Elm St., from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. In even number months (February, April, June, August, and October) meetings are held in the Commission Chambers at the Municipal and Safety Building, 601 E. Main St., from 6-7:45 p.m. No meeting will be held in December.
