Public invited to submit information regarding JCPD sexual assault cases

The Daigle Law Group, which has been hired to conduct an independent review of the Johnson City Police Department’s handling of sexual assault cases, has developed a secure portal to allow citizens to submit their concerns regarding the scope of the assessment.

Anyone with information regarding the department’s handling of sexual assault cases is invited to share input at https://jcpd.mystagingwebsite.com/. Input may be submitted anonymously, though contact information is encouraged for follow-up purposes. Submissions will go directly to the Daigle firm.

The Connecticut-based Daigle Law Group is a leading law firm specializing in management consulting services in support and development of effective and constitutional policing practices. Led by Attorney Eric Daigle, the investigation is currently in its first phase, which consists of reviewing sexual assault incident reports dating back to January 2018. The investigation began at the first of August and is expected to take five to six months to complete
