Infrastructure work to impact West Walnut Street traffic flow

Infrastructure work taking place as part of the City of Johnson City’s West Walnut Street Redevelopment Project will impact traffic on West Walnut Street and neighboring streets next week.

The installation of sewer infrastructure along West Walnut Street will impact traffic in the areas from Earnest Street to Sevier Street as well as West Watauga Avenue to Boyd Street.

Crews also will be installing a waterline and a manhole at the intersection of Earnest and West Maple streets. Traffic in this area will be impacted while this work is underway.

Additional information about the proposed redevelopment in this area as well as updates on construction can be found on the City’s website, www.johnsoncitytn.org/westwalnutplan
