SCHOOL AWARDS:
School Division
The Up & At ‘Em Turkey Trot encourages participation by our schools.  A special division rewards students and school staff who complete the event.  Because of the high level of participation, we have changed the event this year so large schools and small schools do not have to compete against each other.  Only students and staff from the school can participate in the school division.  Our goal is to have 1,000 students/staff participate in the school division this year.  We hope to see you there!

2009 School Division Rules
SMALL
School Division (student enrollment 799 and below)
Eligibility:  Schools must have at least 30 students/staff completing the event to be eligible.
First Prize:           $1,000
Second Prize:     $    500

LARGE School Division (student enrollment 800 and more)
Eligibility:  Schools must have at least 50 students/staff completing the event to be eligible

Come join the 4th Annual Turkey Trot by being a volunteer.  We need about 100 volunteers to manage this Thanksgiving morning event.  We are expecting over 2,500 runners and walkers this year.  We need help with parking control, intersection monitors, mile marker timers, water station helpers, crowd control, registration, pre-race packet pick-up workers, finish line monitors, finish line medal distribution, refreshment coordinators, cheerleaders, and more.  Most volunteers will need to report to the starting area at Legion Street Recreation Center by 7:00 a.m., however all volunteers will receive a detailed description of their job and the exact time to report.  A volunteer meeting will be scheduled the day before the race.

All volunteers will receive a free Turkey Trot Volunteer T-shirt and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU.

To volunteer:  Email: Karen Frederick at krnf207@comcast.net.  Include your preference for what job you would like to work and your T-shirt size.
