    • A: You may not speak to the Judge about a case outside the courtroom on a scheduled court date. You can speak with the receptionist at (423)434-6200, and she will refer you to the appropriate person.

  • Q: When is my Court hearing date?
    • A: Call the Clerk's Office at (423)434-6204 and ask for your court date.

  • Q: What time do you open and close?
    • A: From 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday. We observe the same holidays as other City offices.

  • Q: Where do I call about my runaway child?
    • A: Call 911 immediately and give the dispatcher information regarding the child.

  • Q: Where do I go to file for temporary custody of a child?
    • A: You may come to Juvenile Court to make an inquiry concerning the filing of a petition.

  • Q: How much do I owe for child support?
    • A: Call the Child Support office at (423)434-6209 for information concerning child support payments.

  • Q: How can I get child support?
    • A: You may seek legal assistance through the help of a private attorney, a legal aid clinic ((423)928-3811) or the state child support enforcement agency ((423)434-6500). Child support enforcement services are available through juvenile court, the district attorney general's office or by DHS staff.
